Alice Paul

Paul was a one of the main leaders and strategists of the campaign for the Nineteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. She helped form the National Women’s Party and organized The Silent Sentinels, a group of women favoring women’s right to vote who protested in front of the White House during Woodrow Wilson’s presidency in 1917.
